Re: Result for Pre-recruitment examination for Life Insurance agents
on/after 1st July, 2004

Effective 1st July, 2004 the Pre-recruitment examination for Life Insurance agents, both online and offline have been conducted, based on revised syllabus. On review of the results of the examination, the Institute decided to grant grace marks to candidates who had scored 35 or more marks in the examinations held in the month of July, 2004.
Following actions have been taken by Insurance Institute of India to give effect to the above decision.

Online examination
In respect of candidates who had scored 35 marks or more in the Pre-recruitment examination conducted online on and after 1st July, 2004 a revised score card from Insurance Institute of India has been sent to the online examination centre for passing on the same to the sponsoring insurer after certification.
The award of grace marks will continue until withdrawn by the Institute.

Offline examination
The first offline examination was held on 4th July, 2004 and result therefor were already with the insurers. Following the decision, a revised result register after addition of grace marks has been sent to every insurer.
The licensing of Insurance agents is to be done based on revised register of result sent to each company for offline exam and based on revised score card for each candidate sent by Insurance Institute to the online examination centre.
In respect of offline exams held on 18th July, 2004 and 8th August, 2004 the companies have been supplied with results after addition of grace marks.

Insurers, therefore, should note that they are required to issue licenses based on results declared as mentioned above and not to add any grace marks on their own in the results supplied by the Institute.
