Q1 What is Postal Tuition
Service ?
Tuition Service is a distant learning scheme whereby the
candidates are provided guidelines with test questions along with the name and
address of the tutor for the subject and envelopes to send the test questions
& answers.The candidate has to solve the test questions strictly under
examination conditions and send it to the tutor chapter wise along with a self
addressed stamped envelope. The tutor corrects test questions and offers his
suggestions on the Answers written and solves his doubts if any and returns the
same to the candidate in the reply envelope provided.

Postal Tuition Service is available for all subjects for Licentiate,
Associateship & Fellowship Examination.

What is the fees structure for Postal Tuition Service and how
it can be sent ?
The fees structure for Postal Tuition Service is given below. The candidates
can send the fees by D.D. or M.O. favouring "Insurance Institute of India",
Mumbai along with the PTS Enrolment form.

where can I get the Postal Tuition Service Enrolment form ?
Postal
Tuition Service Enrolment form is available in our handbook. The candidate can
however apply on a plain paper stating his complete mailing address and the
subjects desired by him along with the other details in the form.

Q5 Is Postal Tuition Service available in
Hindi Medium ?
No. Postal Tuition Service is available only in English Medium and not in Hindi
Medium.

Q6 What is the last date for registration to
Postal Tuition Service ?
Candidates are required to register for PTS by 1st September for October
examinations and by 1st March for April examinations. However registration to
PTS can be done in exceptional cases even after the dates stipulated above.

Q7 What is the duration of Postal Tuition
Service ?
The duration of the Postal Tuition Service is from 1st June to 30th September
for October Examinations and from 1st December to 31st March for April
Examinations.

Q8 Is personal contact possible in Postal
Tuition Service ?
No. Personal contact with the tutor is not possible in PTS. The candidate has
to get in touch with the tutor only by means of postal communication.

Q9 Is it necessary to affix postal stamps on
the reply envelope sent to the tutor ?
Yes. It is necessary to affix the requisite postal stamps on the reply envelope
sent to the tutor.

Q10 Is the special concession "Pupil's
Exercise for Correction vide P.O. Guide Clause 114(8)" available.
No. The above concession is no longer available and the students will have to
affix the postal stamps as required.

Q11 If I do not send a single test question to
the tutor am I disqualified to appear the Examination ?
No. The candidate can appear the examination even if he/she does not send a
single test question to the tutor. There is no direct relationship of PTS with
the Examination.

Q12 Can the Enrolment for Postal Tuition
Service in April Exam be carried forward for October Exam ?
No. The Enrolment done for Postal Tuition Service for a particular exam cannot
be carried forward to the next exam for whatsoever the reason may be. The
candidate will have to enroll again by paying the requisite fees to avail the
tutor facility

No. The PTS fees are not refundable.
